Description
The Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Number 9 Edition is a collector's model produced by Mulliner to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bentley brand. The sports car is shown at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The circulation of the collection series is planned in the amount of 100 units. Each will be inspired by the legendary Bentley Blower racing car driven by Sir Henry Ralph Stanley "Tim" Birkin in the 1930 Le Mans 24 Hours. Therefore, the modern model received the No. 9 painted on the grille, referring to the 1929 car.
The body of the model is painted in a special Viridian green color, the car also received a unique set of Blackline options with carbon fiber elements, 21-inch wheels with a 10-spoke design, and a package of carbon fiber body parts and black decor instead of chrome.
The interior is upholstered in Cumbrian Green leather. The collector's car features an embossed "B" logo on the headrests and door panels, the same as on the doors of the 1930 Blower model. A unique artifact will appear on a rotating panel on the center console - a wooden plate from the seat of a 1930 Le Mans racing car.
Plus, each of the 100 special models received 18-carat gold-plated wind deflector knobs and sill plates with the inscription “1 of 100” (“One of 100”). On the front console of the Continental GT Number 9 Edition, a special low-reflective Engine Spin coating was used.
Special attention should be paid to the exclusive Jaeger brand watches, which were released as part of a partnership between the Mulliner studio and this British watch brand. They are inspired by the dial of the original Blower #9.
