Vermot Veritas RS3

In 2009, the production supercar Vermot Veritas RS3 was introduced. At the London Supercar Show (Salon Prive Concours in London) 2009, the car won the public award "Best Supercar 2009".

It took 8 years to test and prepare for mass production since the first prototype appeared in 2001. 15 employees of the manufacturer install the chassis, body and interior at three workplaces. The production of one car takes eight weeks.

The 90-degree V10 engine was taken from the BMW M5 (E60) with 507 hp. and a working volume of five liters. By default, it was aggregated with a 7-speed sequential transmission, but for those who wished, a 6-speed manual gearbox was available as an option. The maximum speed reached 347 kph.

Dunlop tires – 325/25 rear and 255/30 front – and 20-inch five-point 12.5-inch and 10.5-inch wheels, height-adjustable aluminum double wishbone suspension with Öhlins dampers, and chassis rack and pinion servo steering were tested on the Nordschleife ("Northern Loop"). Stopping was handled by a Brabham Racing brake system (six pistons front and four rear) with 380 mm front and 355 mm rear ceramic brake discs. More careful drivers could order optional ABS and ESP systems.

The design of the Veritas RS3 is traditional for real racing cars: a tubular steel frame, a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque and only 1147 kilograms of weight. Unlike the prototypes shown so far, the supercar received a new front and rear parts and a hood.

The RS3 offers interior space for two passengers in a 1+1 layout. Inside, the car received Recaro bucket seats in brown quilted Nappa leather and 4-point seat belts.

The cost of the supercar was announced from 342,000 euros without taxes. Even before the actual start of production, the manufacturer claimed that five of the 30 cars had already been sold – to Monaco, Australia, the UK, Spain and Switzerland. Eight more have been reserved and more than 100 orders have been received.
