Hartge H1 (E31)
Description
The Hartge H1 was a modified model of the BMW 850Ci (E31 body), produced from 1987 to 1999.
The 12-cylinder version of the BMW engine was originally a five-liter, but to increase power, the volume was increased to 6 liters. The cylinder head, intake and exhaust channels were modified, the piston was replaced with a forged one, the exhaust system was replaced and, as a result, the power increased from 300 to 430 hp, and the torque from 450 to 620 N∙m.
With such a motor, far from being the lightest car, it could accelerate to 100 kph in 5.3 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 301 kph.
In addition to the refinement of the engine, the changes affected the brake system and suspension, as a result of which the ground clearance was lowered by 30 mm.
The main changes in the appearance of the car were the installation of Hartge rims and a small body kit.
