Koenig Ferrari 308 GTB Turbo
Description
The Koenig-Specials 308 GTB Turbo is a deep modernization of the Ferrari 308 GTB (Ferrari 308 GTS), produced from 1975 to 1985 by Ferrari.
The Ferrari V8 engine received Koenig camshafts, forged titanium pistons and an intercooled turbocharging system with a water tank that cools the air before turbocharging. As a result of modernization, engine power increased from 240 to 400 hp, and maximum speed to 304 kph
The brake system and suspension have also been modified, becoming stiffer and lower by 3 cm. The sports car received two-component BBS wheels and wider wheels 225/50 R15 at the front and 285/45 R15 at the rear.
In total, around 12 cars were modified at a cost of £60,000, with the standard 308 GTSi costing £23,000.
